Houses

Houses are the buildings characters live in. A character's house must be built before that character can be welcomed, but in cases where multiple characters live in the same house, the house only needs to be built for the first character; subsequent characters can be welcomed immediately.

Houses do not appear in the store and do not cost anything by themselves to build, though skipping the build timer, as with skipping all timers, costs Template:Gem. Once built, houses cannot be sold or returned to the player's inventory, but can be moved around the map. (Although in the recent update, houses no longer have the check mark after moving, the house can still be moved by exiting edit mode in the new house position) All Ponyville and Canterlot houses are 4x4 in size, in Sweet Apple Acres there are some 3x3 houses as well.

Twilight's Library is already built for the player at the start of the game.

In addition to these, the Mane Six stay in Canterlot Inn when visiting Canterlot. This building is already in-place when Canterlot is unlocked and cannot be moved or sold.

Ponyville
