Twilight Sparkle

Twilight Sparkle is the main character of the TV series My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic and the game My Little Pony: Magic Princess.

Character description

She is a unicorn pony and Princess Celestia's personal student and is one of the Mane Six, representing the element of magic . Her harmony stone is the last to be activated in the Ponyville quest progression, requiring 150 Magic Shards to activate, after which the first main story line is completed, Nightmare Moon is defeated, and Princess Luna is added to the player's inventory. She transforms into an Alicorn after the "Returning to Harmony" ^Canterlot and is coronated as a princess in the quest "Princess Twilight" ^Canterlot.

She is the younger sister of Shining Armor, the sister-in-law of Princess Cadance, the paternal aunt of Flurry Heart, and the youngest daughter of Night Light and Twilight Velvet. Spike is her adoptive family member and assistant. Her pet is Owlowiscious.

Twilight lives in Twilight's Library in Ponyville. Both she and her house are available for free from the start of the game. After the quest "Secret's Unlocked" ^{Everfree Forest} is completed, her Library will be sent to the player's inventory as a decor item, and her home is replaced by Twilight's Castle.

Twilight Sparkle appears in all towns (except for Changeling Kingdom) when the player travels to these locations. While visiting, Twilight stays at the Canterlot Inn in Canterlot, the Sweet Apple Guest House in Sweet Apple Acres, the Patchwork Tavern in Klugetown, the Mane Six Campsite in the Everfree Forest and Crystal Inn in Crystal Empire.

Twilight has a unique random animation; a book appears at her feet, and she lies down to read it.

Twilight, as the character the player starts with, was one of the characters available in the beta version of My Little Pony presented at My Little Pony Project 2012 New York. She is available since Update 1.0.

In the tutorial screens for the Equestria Girls and minecart mini-games, human Twilight Sparkle's purple hand can be seen guiding the player.
In older versions, during Nightmare Night, Twilight used to show up in her Starswirl the Bearded outfit from the episode Luna Eclipsed. Now it is a separate outfit from the event School Raze.
