Nightmare Rarity, Retold is a 10-day Limited-Time Siege that was released on March 30, 2023 in Update 8.2. It's the 4th siege that starts 1 day before (the 3 previous sieges were The Power Ponies, Dash to the Future and Welcome Back Twilight). This event is held again on September 20, 2024.

Luna: You can ask me in pony -- I am here. And it is true... Evil, dark forces have taken your friend to the Nightmare Dreamscape... on the moon itself. I hoped this would never come to pass... but there is a legend that says IF the nightmare forces harness enough strength... they have a chance to claim an all-powerful kingdom that Nightmare Moon promised.

Princess Luna: Because you all possess the Elements of Harmony, they will come after you. You are the only ponies who can defeat them before they destroy your home.

Spike: Guys -- we gotta go rescue her! NOW!

Fluttershy: Um... I agree... But how do six ponies and a baby dragon get to the MOON?!

Celestia: If Luna and I combine our powers, we can bring the Moon closer with this lasso to shorten your journey. But you will have to use sure footing... and you may face resistance from nightmares on your way.
