Introduction
Hey, Starlight! Our experiments with Rainbowification -- and Trixie's dabbling in Centaur magic -- gave me a great idea for a new exercise for our Friendship Students...
Maybe it's possible for ANYCREATURE to channel the same rainbow power that we did! If we could teach our students to do that, they could easily handle any future Tirek wannabes...
Great idea, Twilight! I'm game to test it out... but I think we should run our class through some basic magical simulations, first. Practice makes perfect, right?
End of stage 1
I'm really proud of the work you all did! Not that I ever doubted you, of course... How are you guys feeling?
O-okay! Yeah... I think I'm ready to get Rainbowified if everycreature else is!
Yeah! I mean, this is gonna be princess-level power, right? I am SUPER stoked to channel that stuff! Bet I could do just about anything with it...
Everycreature thinks that at first, Sandbar... I did too. But high-level magic can be tough to wield -- even for princesses, sometimes! This simulation will show you what I mean...
End of stage 2
Wow... Thanks for the reality check, Twilight. (That was a SUPER scary Tirek illusion...)
You're welcome! But don't ever lose hope that good always wins out in the end -- you just need to work for it! Now: Does anypony have any questions?
Yeah... When in this lesson do we get Rainbowified?! Because I CAN'T WAIT!
Ha ha! I love the enthusiasm, Smolder, but I think one last round of traditional training would do you all some good before we move on to the heavy-duty stuff.
End of stage 3
Great! Now that everycreature has settled down a bit... We can start to talk about Rainbowification.
As you all know, it only happens under very specific magical circumstances... But Starlight Glimmer and I have devised a glamour that'll give you just a taste of the real thing.
Once we cast it on you, we'll start a series of strategy simulations so you can test it out in practice! How does that sound?
AMAZING!!! Ooooh, I'm so EXCITED... Rainbowification, HERE I COME!
End of stage 4
Great job, you three! Excellent work tapping into your friendship to make better use of your new magic...
Yona's turn next? Yona wonder if stomping power up with power of rainbows...
There's only one way to find out... Let's try it!
End of stage 5
You all did amazing! We couldn't be more proud... Now, to end the lesson... let's try something a little different.
You're all great friends -- but, sometimes, circumstances demand that you work alongside creatures you might not know very well, or even have serious differences with.
But, when faced with somepony like Tirek, we'd like you make the effort to cooperate with them anyway -- because the fate of Equestria might depend on it!
Nothing like that is going to happen anytime soon, of course -- but it's worth training for. So, for this simulation, we made sure to team you up with some creatures you might not expect!
End of stage 6
All right, students! You've made us both VERY proud with all the great work you did today. Why don't you take the rest of the afternoon off to... Uh... Yes, Ocellus?
Um... I was wondering, if it isn't too much of a bother... Could you show us a simulation of the all the Rainbowified princesses facing Tirek? Please?
Ha ha! Wanna see the really high-level stuff, huh? I don't blame you! Let me just set up the magical parameters, and... There!
End of stage 7
Hee hee...! Thanks! Sometimes, you just wanna see a super cool magic battle...
You're welcome! And thank ALL of you for being such great students. I'm sure I speak for Starlight as well when I say that this was a really fun lesson plan to put together!
Agreed! And we couldn't have made it nearly as interesting without your participation. Thank you, all of you! Now, go rest. You deserve it!
Ending
Twilight, your idea was great! Not only did the students enjoy the simulations, but we've also given them a new perspective on their magic -- whether Rainbowified or not!
I'm happy, too... I hope they never have to face the same challenges we did. But, if anycreature like Tirek surfaces again, it's good to know that they'll be up to the task!
Yeah... As long as they believe in one antoher -- and in the power of friendship -- they'll be able to handle any challenge that comes their way.
I couldn't have said it better myself!
