Chemist Pony is an Earth Pony stallion who lives in Ponyville. Initially, he took on the appearance of a background character from S08E05 "Grannies Gone Wild", however his design was later changed, presumably so that he no longer bore resemblance to Walter White from the TV-14 crime drama Breaking Bad. His description and original cutie mark allude to the blue "crystal meth" that White sells. What was on screen was not actual methamphetamine: rather, it was blue rock candy, hence his description.
