Sorry, didn't mean to startle you. I'm Inspector Leigh Stride of Trotland Yard. I've been investigating the mystery of Silver Blaze.

I'm Twilight Sparkle, the Princess--

The Princess of Friendship. It's an honor to meet you! Now, Silver Blaze, the reigning champion went missing last week, and it's been a dark cloud over the whole town.

I'm not even sure we're going to have the race now. Nopony wants to party or bet or celebrate. It's a mystery most foul…

…And a crime against friendship. And as the Princess of Friendship, it's my duty to fix this so the races can resume! We'd like to offer our services as consulting detectives.

After 2nd stage

We think that Downey Burn's groundskeeper, Millerspoke, left the gate open and Silver Blaze ran wild. This is his cabin…

Millerspoke, I'm Twilight Sparkle and I'm trying to help find Silver Blaze. Can I ask you to tell me what you know?

I'd just fed Silver Blaze her evening carrots - ach, she and I love carrots - and I went out to do some stargazing. And, well… I fell asleep. I'm a pretty sound sleeper.

Aside from your snoring! You left out the part where you left the gate open and Silver Blaze broke out, running free. We found tortoise tracks by your stargazing spot.

No! I love that tortoise like she was m'own wee bairn - I never would have been so careless… And moreover, it drives me mad that all of ye think I did it.

It must be very painful to have your friends turn on you.

You're NOT welcome. I know you've come to see Scarlet Study, and I'm telling ye, ye can't see her. Be gone with ye, unless ye've come to tell me the race is back on!

Aren't you worried about Silver Blaze at all?

After 4th stage

Leigh Stride, we've had a long trip. I think we'd like to rest up for a bit.

Of course, Princess. And if you do want to come out, we're all usually in the cider hall across the street.

But it's not over yet, fellow racers! Because underneath Scarlet Study's racing shell is… SILVER BLAZE!

After 6th stage

Twilight Sparkle! What… what happened here?

Let me explain. Downey owed money because of her sister's collectibles habit. So, Downey Burn decided to sabotage Silver Blaze and bet against her.

She planned to give her a stomach ache… but Silver Blaze hate arugula. So she kicked Downey Burn, giving her a black eye and knocking her out while she ran away.

Silver Blaze was attracted to all of Millerspoke's carrots and crawled into his wagon. And since Millerspoke's hearing is so bad, he never heard her make a sound.

Silver Blaze then saw Alder Brown's carrot farm and hopped off there.

But Alder Brown was still smarting over their disagreement about buying Silver Blaze, so she decided to use her to win the race by disguising her as Scarlet Study.

After 7th stage

Downey Burn

Silver Blaze! I though you were lost forever! I'm so glad you're back…

I'm sorry. I was just so sore, I took advantage…

No! Ye don't get it. When Silver Blaze was lost and alone, she went to ye. Because she trusted ye, like I used ta. She remembered we were still friends even when we dinna.

I'm sorry for everything, y'old codger. Canna we just be friends again?

Downey Burn

Friendship! That's what this is all about. You've forgotten and made this race all about the racing and the betting, when it should be about the friendship.

Twilight, how do you do it? You came in here out of nowhere and solved this came and got old friends back together! You're amazing.
