Edgy Twilight Sparkle: Won't they melt if they're in your mouth all night...?
Spike: WAAAAUUUUUGH!!! Who are you and what have you done with Twilight?!
Edgy Twilight Sparkle: Spike! It's me! It's almost Nightmare Night... this is my costume... Are you okay? Lately you've been jumping at every sound Owlowiscious makes in the night!
Spike:O-Oh, uh, yeah! Of course! I guess, maybe, SOMETIMES, the cReEpy-ness of Nightmare Night makes me a little... jumpy?
Edgy Twilight Sparkle: That's putting it lightly! Listen, are you SURE you want to come to our Frightful Fête on Nightmare Night? Discord said he's gonna make it REALLY scary... but I'm worried about you.
Stage 2: The Dark Queen
Edgy Twilight Sparkle: Heh... For such a little guy, I have to admit, you really held your own. Tell me, were you scared?
Spike: O-O-Of course not! Wh-Why would I be scared that my best friends are acting super weird and want to beat the stuffing out of me?
Edgy Rarity: Best friends? Darling, I really don't have any idea what you're talking about...
Edgy Twilight Sparkle: Right? But if he ACTUALLY wasn't scared... No, I don't believe him. We'll have to show him something even MORE terrifying.
Edgy Rarity: Well, 'tis the season, as they say. I know somepony who will do nicely for our purposes. Or should I say... some-changeling?

Edgy Discord: Oh, not "evil," my small and feisty friend: "edgy"! There's a subtle difference, you see
Spike: Wait. What are you wearing...? A-Are you one of "them" ?
Edgy Discord: What?! I'm fitting in! It's called "FASHION," Spike. Sheesh. Now I get why they're all so exasperated with you...
Edgy Trixie: And just what are you two jokers joking about? You're harshing the Edgy & Awesome Trixie's immaculately umbral vibe...
Stage 5: The Tempest Returns!
King Sombra: Hmph. A fine battle. Silly and off-putting though you two may be, combat such as THIS is what keeps me interested! A... worthy performance, Princess Amore.
Spike: Even THEY'RE getting along? And hey, why is Sombra here anyway?! I thought we put a stop to him... TWICE!
Edgy Princess Amore: I'm confused at you, little dragon... isn't it much COOLER to keep such intense and epic power in one's presence, to fully experience? To appreciate?
Edgy Trixie: All that aside... what's with your victory quip? Lame! It's not cool at all. I mean, seriously, try a one-liner! Strike a pose, at least! Ugh!
Spike: ... Something tells me I'm not gonna get common sense out of anypony. Now that I think on it, wouldn't the only shining ray of light and silliness in this edgy world be... Pinkie Pie?
Stage 6: A True Test of Courage
Spike: I-I just don't get it! I've BEEN to dimensions where the good guys are bad, and the bad guys are good, but this place is way more complicated... I can't make heads or scales of it.
Edgy Fluttershy: Oh, dear. You're so pathetically confused that I almost want to help you...
Spike: Fluttershy?! Even YOUR words cut deep...
Edgy Fluttershy: Listen. Here, the creatures with the coolest and most extreme powers, and the deepest darkest pasts, are... well, they're just the best.
Edgy Fluttershy: It's like... we all feel stronger because of them.
Spike: Huh? But... what if you lose to them, and they do something really evil? Aren't you afraid?
Stage 7: The Battle Within!
Spike: Wowzers! That might've been spine-tinglingly terrifying, but... now I feel great! Oh, wait, I'm being too cheerful
Spike: (Ahem ) Heh! That was nothin'. I totally took up the sword of of... light... against the, uh, darkness of despair?

Spike: P-Princess Luna! Eheh, I should've known you'd be here... Maybe I'm just not cut out for this "edgy" thing.
