Introduction
Watch this, Princess Luna! I'm working on my show I missed last Hearth's Warming, and... ARGH! It's not working! What's the point? This is stupid!
You know, Hearth's Warming isn't about the sho--
Stop right there, Princess! I've been practicing for AGES, and if I can't put on a grand show, everyone will be SO disappointed! We might as well cancel Hearth's Warming, I say!
Hmm... I read a story not long ago that I believe might benefit you. Let me show you... through the power of dream magic!
W-wait! The Great and Powerful Trixie doesn't have time for this! Where are we going?!
After 1st stage
Remember when you were a young and naive pony, lying about defeating an Ursa Major? Do you remember how it left you isolated...
... And alone? I do, Princess, but I don't see why I have to revisit these awful memories. What's past is past, I say! And besides -- I've changed!
Sometimes it is worthwhile to remember everything you have gone through so you don't forget.

After 2nd stage
Look back at the time you took the Alicorn Amulet -- and how you treated everypony when you had it!
Do I have to? I'm not proud of it, but I let my bitterness get the best of me.

Starlight Glimmer! I remember this. It was an AMAZING show. Some Centaur magic would have probably made it even better though...

Are we at the School of Friendship? Wait! Is that ME? As the Guidance Counselor? WOOHOO! I did it! But why do I look so... sad?
This is what will happen if you forget the true reason for your magic and Hearth's Warming. Single-minded ambition comes at a great cost!
Oh no... Uh, well, I do love the idea of being the Guidance Counselor, but look -- it's Hearth's Warming Eve. Why am I here, alone?

After 6th stage
Home sweet home! But... where is everypony?
They are not coming, Trixie. Over the years, you focused on your magic so single-mindedly... that you neglected your friends, driving them away.
No, no, no, no, no! I was practicing to make the show great for everyone. It was my way of saying thank you and... and... happy Hearth's Warming...
I am sorry, Trixie. But it is not too late to change this future for the better.
Of course it's not! Take me back, Princess. I have something important to do!
After 7th stage
Okay! Is it Hearth's Warming yet? Please say it isn't QUITE Hearth's Warming yet!
Not yet, Trixie... But almost. What are you planning to do?
The show must go on! But not in the way you're thinking. I'm going to call Starlight and the others to come by and help me.
As amazing as I am, it doesn't mean anything if I don't have any friends to show off to -- I mean, to use my magic for.
And what is Hearth's Warming if you're not spending time with the ponies you love?
