The Crystalling is a Limited Time-Siege that was first held on October 4, 2024 in Update 9.7, with a community section. The story is based on the sixth season two-part premiere The Crystalling (Part 1 and Part 2).

Story
Introduction
Hi, Starlight! It's so good to see you. How was your trip up here? I know the Crystal Empire is pretty far north...
Heh... Yeah. I mean, it's always worth it to visit my oldest friend, but we hit a pretty bad snowstorm on the way. Thank Celestia it wasn't as bad as Flurry Heart's Crystalling!
Actually... Everything was so hectic that day; I don't think you guys ever told me what YOU were up to while I was off reconnecting with Sunburst! I got the gist, but...
Aw, the gist ain't nothin'! You deserve all the details, Starlight. Startin' with... Oh! You were there on the train, right? When Rainbow Dash tried to outshine my Crystalling gift?
After 1st stage
Sure! Granted, I was a little distracted by the "first friendship lesson" of it all, but I remember. That, and Shining Armor falling asleep while he welcomed us to town, which...
Actually, Spike and I peeled off to visit Sunburst right after that. Did Shining Armor... uh... make it back to the castle okay? Because I ALSO remember being concerned for him.
Heh heh... Yeah, we kept him awake long enough to get him home. Though we DID have to steer him around a little. The city was already full of visitors there for the Crystalling...
After 2nd stage
And then we met my niece for the first time! With her perfect little hooves, and her sweet little horn, and the cutest little wings...
And so magically powerful, too! Just one sneeze and... poof! Entire ceilings and floors of the castle... Gone!
All those precious fabrics, up in smoke... Rugs, curtains, tapestries...!!! Ohhh, the ponanity!
Rarity...
Please, Rainbow Dash -- allow me my occasional moments of dramatic remembrance. Anyway, we decided to help the new family the best we could!
I went and picked the perfect Crystal of Purity... And Pinkie was SUPPOSED to babysit. But Flurry Heart escaped, and... er... broke the Crystal Heart with her magic.
After 3rd stage
Oof... Yeah. Hard to forget when THAT happened. I was walking back from Sunburst's, and it just got FREEZING all of a sudden...
Yep. And it looked even worse from the castle! Dark, stormy snow clouds clear to the horizon, threatening to bury the Empire in eternal winter unless some brave pony steps in--
Dash...
Hey, if Rarity gets a tangent about window treatments, I get one about being awesome! Uh... Anyway, Princess Celestia and Princess Luna were the ones who STARTED saving the day, this time...
After 4th stage
And... While Twilight was searching for a solution, and the princesses were fighting the storm, we went outside trying to convince everypony to take shelter.
But they were so excited about the Crystalling, nopony listened to us! It was... *gulp* ... Well, it was pretty scary.
After 5th stage
Right... I was back at the castle by then, I think. I had no idea what was going on, until Pinkie told me--
The baby was an Alicorn and she accidentally destroyed the Crystal Heart, so Twilight and Cadance were looking for a spell to put it back together...
...and save the Crystal Empire from turning into a giant wasteland of ice and snow?
Um... Yeah. Almost word for word. But I WASN'T there when Twilight and Cadance tried to put the Crystal Heart back together, the first time--
But then it didn't work at all and the Crystal Heart broke into eleventy jillion pieces again?!
Pinkie... Why do you sound so happy?
Because with the benefit of hindsight, it ended up being a really cool adventure that brought us all closer together as friends! Also, it ended with a PARTY!
Anyway, THAT was right about when Shining Armor decided we should evacuate the city! And we ALL ran to the train station!!!
After 6th stage
... Where you met me, Sunburst, and Spike!
Who just happened to have come up with the perfect combination of spells to save the day?
Heh... Well, if you put it like that... I guess we did. Honestly, I'm just happy we could help!
Don't sell yourself short, Starlight! All that magic combined, fixing the Heart, pushing away the storm, finishing the Crystalling... You were a HUGE part of it all!
After 7th stage
Awww... Thanks, you guys! It's great knowing your side of the story...
Haha! Well, enough about what WE did... How about what YOU did! You never did tell us all about what you and Sunburst talked about that day...
... Hoo, boy. Lots of heavy emotions involved, there, but I'll try. Why don't we get some cocoa? This'll be... extensive!
